Coaching can be helpful in almost all areas of our life, but what are the things you need to know before you even get started?

As your coach, I will:

  • Hold the space and lead you through the process to process your opportunities, expand your outlook in order to achieve your goals and God-sized dreams

  • Ask that by the end of every session you develop an action plan for your next steps and name how you will be accountable

As the client, you can expect to:

  • Actively engage by being on time, prepared, mentally present, and focused each session

  • Discuss all issues openly and honestly, while remaining open to other perspectives

  • Take ownership of and keep all commitments made in the coaching sessions

Confidentiality is central to the International Coaching Federation’s Code of Ethics. You control what you share. Unless compelled by law, or given permission by you, I will never divulge what we discuss – though I may share the content (without your identity) with my supervising coach as I continue to grow through additional levels of coaching certification. You, of course, are free to share (or not) anything that we discuss.

Getting started

I am happy to offer one pro bono session to anyone who wants to see if coaching would be a good fit for them.  You will know by the end of the session if you would like for me to be your coach or, if not, I can refer you to another coach and we can part ways having had a memorable encounter.

I provide every new client with a Coaching Introduction and Client Information Packet and a Coaching Agreement for us both to sign.  This Agreement outlines the number of sessions and payment information we have agreed to, as well as our obligations to each other.

Coaching is all about relationship – with yourself in terms of your dreams, goals, and challenges; with each other as we develop mutuality and trust; and with the Spirit who is always present with you and permeating the whole process.  I look forward to joining you on your journey.

Testimonials

“Debra's coaching style encouraged me to better develop my own leadership and other gifts. She is good at nurturing and holding others up.”

“I learned how to set boundaries and make time for myself, something that was missing in my life and ministry.  Debra helped me see myself in a new way, as a real leader who has authentic and spiritual authority.”

“I knew it was time, but I was afraid.  ‘What did you love to do that you gave up when you became a parish priest?’  With that one question, Debra helped me realize that not only was it time to retire, but that I had something to look forward to!”
